Don’t let the size of the containers used at this stand fool you. They pack a lot into them and the small salad, for $5, is more than enough for a filling lunch. There is a plethora of salad options that range from veggies to nuts to proteins.
Half-price baked goods at Shady Maple stand
After 2 p.m. on most market days, Shady Maple will mark down its items to half-price. On Tuesday, all baked goods get marked down and on Fridays after 2 p.m, the doughnuts are the only things to get marked down. Visit the stand after 1 p.m. on a Saturday and you may find some things left at 50 percent off.
Half-price items and inexpensive sandwiches at Spring Glen stand
The Spring Glen stand, known for its soup and side dishes, will offer half-price items in its second case after 2 p.m. some days. The small potato bun sandwiches, egg salad, chicken salad and tuna salad, each cost around $2 and are more than enough for a lunch.
Half-price wraps at the S. Clyde Weaver stand
Visit this stand after 2 p.m. and its premade wrap sandwiches are buy one, get one free. There are many varieties of wraps made fresh every morning, and the selection is sometimes limited come sale time.
