Allowing Fido to play and get along with others is important to many dog owners, but many do not know where to go to allow some off-leash play time for their pet. These dog parks, all located within 20 miles of Lancaster city, can provide hours of fun for you and your pooch.

Beau’s Dream Dog Park

Recently named one of the top 10 dog parks by USA Today. Built by Beneful in 2013, the park is divided into large- and small-dog areas; includes sitting areas for owners and water features and more for dogs. Dogs must be licensed and have current vaccinations.

Canine Meadows, John C. Rudy Park

This park has three large gated areas for dogs to interact. Parking is nearby and rules can be found on the website.

Noel S. Dorwart Park and Nature Area

This open dog park adjoins walking trails and picnic areas. There are no fences at this park and if your dog is friendly, you may find he or she greeting walkers more than playing in the designated dog area.

Overlook Dog Park

This dog park is membership-only and is divided into large areas for small and large dogs. While there is no designated areas for owners to sit, the size of each area allows plenty of room for Fido to run and stretch his legs.
